Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany has ruled out Harry Kane having a long spell on the sidelines after coming off injured against Celtic.

Kane came off at half-time in their Champions League play-off second leg against Celtic in midweek with a calf complaint, a few days on from missing training after taking a blow to the face at Bayer Leverkusen.
Now, manager Kompany has said this is a “short-term situation” for the 31-year-old, without stating if he will miss any Bayern matches.
He told reporters, via Sky Germany: “We’ll see.
“It’s good that we’re not talking about two, three, four weeks, but about a short-term situation.
“We’ll have to wait and see.
“It would not be the first time we have had to solve this this season.
“We can never replace Harry [Kane] one-to-one.
“There are not many players who score 40 or 50 goals in the season.
“We will try to find the best solution to win the game.”

Getting him back fit will be key to their chances of winning silverware this season after a trophyless 2023/24 campaign
