Kodak Black has spoken out to clear up rumours that he has converted to Islam. The rapper denied the claims and confirmed that he is a Hebrew Israelite.
The rumours started after a picture of Kodak surfaced online. In the photo, he appeared to be praying in a way associated with Islam. Many people assumed this meant he had embraced the religion.
Kodak quickly addressed the issue on social media. He said, “No disrespect to the Muslim community, but I am Hebrew Israelite. I feel very disrespected by the blogs for saying I’ve converted to Islam.”
He explained that the photo was not what it seemed. According to him, someone asked him to pose on a prayer rug, and he agreed.
He made it clear that it was just a photo opportunity and did not reflect any change in his beliefs.
Kodak Black first spoke about being a Hebrew Israelite in 2017. He said he learned about it while reading the Bible during a three-month jail sentence in Florida.
In 2020, while serving time in prison, he even requested to meet with a rabbi and have access to a Torah, showing his dedication to his faith.
