The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved N2billion for the construction of General Hospitals in three local government in the state.
iBrandTV gathered that the local government areas includes, Gagarawa, Gwiwa and Kirikasamma.
The Commissioner for Information Alhaji Bala Ibrahim disclosed this to newsmen shortly after the council meeting presided over by Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
He said the construction of Gagarawa and Kirikasamma general hospitals was awarded to Baban Doki general enterprises at the cost of over 698 million naira and N713 million respectively, while that of Gwiwa was awarded to Ngloma Construction Company at the cost of over N699 million
Meanwhile the council has approved over N626 million for the construction work at the ongoing Kazaure specialist hospital, which is expected to be commissioned before the first quarter of 2022.
Bala Ibrahim explained that the project include road network, staff quarters, external electrical and mechanical installations.
The commissioner stated further that the present administration has so far constructed three general hospitals and upgraded six others across the state, as part of its continues efforts at providing effective health service care delivery.
