Nigerian actress Jemima Osunde has opened up about a challenging health ordeal that began three years ago after consuming contaminated food on a movie set.
The actress shared her experience in a heartfelt post on X.

Jemima Osunde revealed that during a shoot in Ibadan, she ate food provided on set, which led to her contracting Helicobacter pylori
This is a bacteria known to infect the stomach lining and cause various gastrointestinal issues.
This infection eventually developed into gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a chronic condition she has been battling ever since.
Reflecting on the incident, Jemima Osunde expressed deep regret.
She wrote: “I’ve never regretted anything as much as taking that job and trusting their care during the shoot in Ibadan. The contaminated set food gave me H. pylori, and the resulting GERD has left me fighting for my life for the past three years.”
She went on to describe the severity of her condition, emphasizing its impact on her daily life.

“The past month has been particularly tough. My stomach has become my greatest adversary. Actually, my entire gastrointestinal tract (GIT) feels like it’s working against me,” she added.
