Temu is a well known e-commerce brand with a strong presence in North America, but in Nigeria, brands like Jumia and Konga were the key players, until recently.

Things took a different turn when Nigerians discovered Temu, a platform where you can pair with a partner to make purchases.

Now, with the current hardship people are facing, you need to see the way Nigerians are storming this platform, so much that many people are confused about it’s ownership.

Those who love speculations and rumours had already concluded that Temu is a Nigerian company, and trust these people, their info spreads faster than any other thing.

We decided to do a little check, just to be sure.

You see, Temu is not a Nigerian company.

It is owned by PDD Holdings Inc., the parent company behind Pinduoduo, one of China’s largest e-commerce giants.

Temu, however, represents a new venture for PDD Holdings, expanding its reach beyond China and into the broader international market including Nigeria.
