The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Dr. Chiji Collins, has on Friday, been removed.
It was gathered that Collins who is a member of the All Progressives Congress, representing Isiala Mbano Constituency in the House, was removed on the grounds of poor conduct.
Replacing him, another member of the APC, Paul Emeziem, representing Onuimo Constituency, heads the House that has 20 APC members and seven members from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Collins’ impeachment was concluded at the Ojukwu Centre where the House members convened temporarily.

The session was presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Chyna Iwuanyanwu at about 2pm.
Emeziem, upon emerging the new Speaker, matched to the Government House, Owerri, with some other members to visit Uzodinma.
