Ice Cube has received the inaugural Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame award named after him.
The award, known as the Ice Cube Impact Award, recognises individuals who use the sport for positive community impact.
A video on Cube’s Instagram shows him receiving the award and unveiling a permanent exhibit about it.
He expressed honour and excitement about future opportunities to recognise those positively impacting others through basketball.
The honour acknowledges Ice Cube’s contributions to basketball, passion for the game, and commitment to promoting inclusivity, equal opportunity, and social justice, along with initiatives focused on education and community development.
