President Bola Tinubu has stated that he will respect his opponents in the February 25 presidential election.
“It also does not make my opponents any less Nigerian than I am.”
Tinubu was elected president after defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
On Monday, he was sworn in as Nigeria’s 16th president in Eagle Square in Abuja.

In his speech, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said: “My victory makes me no more Nigerian than the rest of you.
“It also does not make my opponents any less Nigerian than I am.
“I will treat my opponents, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, as important compatriots,” Tinubu stated during his inauguration address.
Atiku and Obi are still in court, fighting the outcome of the election.
They want to overturn the victory bring all their evidences in their pursuit for justice.
