How Alleged Vote Buyers Attacked Operatives Of EFCC In Kaduna

Have you seen vote buyers before? They are always there in every elections, sometimes hidden from your eyes.

You see, when you fight corruption, it fights back and if you lack the stamina, it could win. Even President Muhammadu Buhari knows this.

Vote Buyers

To get a credible election in a country like Nigeria, you will have much fight to do.

It is even worse when you are a member of crime fighting operatives.

One crime that is common during elections is vote buying. People come with incentives, materials, money and food to lure people to vote for a particular party.

Most times, because of the high level of poverty in the land, it works.

But the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is not taking its eagle’s eyes off the ‘money man’.

As a result, it deployed a strategy in this election to curb vote buying.

But somehow, a few persons will try to beat the strategy.

In Kaduna, that was the case. Operatives of the EFCC had to fight it out with alleged vote buyers.

In a tweet on its Twitter handle, the EFCC said: “its operatives on election monitoring duty in Kaduna State today, March 18, 2023, came under attack at School Road, Unguwan Rimi Kaduna”.

According to the EFCC, its operatives were attempting to arrest a suspected vote buyer.

The vote buyer resisted the attack and fought hard to have his freedom back.
