Chioma Ikokwu, CEO of the popular hair brand GoodHair, has publicly accused Lagos State government officials of attempting to steal from her during the demolition of her office space in Lekki.
Taking to Instagram to share her ordeal, Chioma revealed that officials from the Lagos State Building Control Agency arrived at her premises on a demolition mission.
Also, she explained that while she and her team were in the process of moving their belongings, the officials allegedly ordered them to vacate the premises immediately.
They claimed they needed to proceed with the demolition without delay.
However, Chioma alleged that the urgency was a ploy to allow the officials to take the building materials left behind.
In her words: “They wanted us out so they could steal the building materials we had there”.
The entrepreneur posted videos showing chaotic scenes.
However, this includes security officials who accompanied the demolition team assaulting her staff and attempting to seize her phone as she documented the incident.
The hair entrepreneur, Chioma, expressed her frustration and disbelief at the treatment.

Also, she stated: “It’s bad enough that they’re demolishing the space, but to have officials behaving in such a manner, trying to intimidate us and steal, is unacceptable”.
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for accountability and an investigation into the actions of the officials involved.
