Gunman Kills Four, Including Himself At Michigan State University

A shooting at the Michigan State University campus has left several persons dead.

Students engaging in their daily activity were shocked by the sudden shooting.

They were asked to take cover, but not many were lucky.

Also. they were told to shelter in place during the shooting.

However, the police order was lifted saying the suspect was “no longer a threat to campus”.

The gunman opened fire at Michigan State University, killing three people then he died from gunshot wounds, police say.

He also injured five people in the attack which happened at the main campus in the city of East Lansing late on Monday.

Why The Suspect Attacked

His motive for the shooting is yet unknown but the police have started investigating.

The suspect was identified as “a black male, shorter in stature”.

According to the police, he was 43 years old with no known affiliation to the university and he died from a “self-inflicted gunshot wound”.

They added that the suspect was “located off campus”.

At a news briefing, the police revealed that there were several crime locations, and that investigation into the incident was going to continue.

Ambulances were seen arriving at the scene, and the injured are now being treated in a hospital.

“This truly has been a nightmare that we are living tonight,” Deputy Chief Chris Rozman of the university’s police force said.

College authorities have cancelled all campus activities for at least 48 hours.
