Arda Guler made his way into an elite Euros club alongside Cristiano Ronaldo & Wayne Rooney after inspiring Turkey to a last-16 victory over Austria.
Defying expectations, Turkey has advanced to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024, overcoming Austria in a hard-fought match on Tuesday night.
Guler, who had already scored earlier in the tournament, continued to shine by providing a crucial assist that secured Turkey’s win.
The 19-year-old Real Madrid prodigy expertly delivered both corners that led to Merih Demiral’s goals.
Austria struggled to handle Guler’s precision, particularly his second delivery which was met perfectly by Demiral’s header.
This assist marked Guler’s first of the tournament which earned him a seat alongside legends Ronaldo and Rooney as the third teenager to score and assist in the same Euros.
Ronaldo first achieved this milestone at Euro 2004, where he scored twice and provided two assists for Portugal at the age of 19.
Rooney matched this performance in the same tournament, scoring four goals and assisting once as England reached the quarter-finals, ultimately falling to Portugal.
