Family Of Bimbo Ogbonna Releases Official Statement On Her Death

 

The family of Bimbo Ogbonna, the wife of Nigerian businessman, Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD has released a statement on her death.

The deceased family also created an Instagram page to celebrate Bimbo who died on October 15, 2022 after suffering fatal burns in a fire incident at her home in Lagos.

According to the statement issued by the family, the deceased died after suffering severe burns.

Her family further disclosed the role they played when they discovered that she was suffering from domestic violence in her marriage.

They described the deceased as a loving individual and a committed wife and mother, who put the desire that her children be raised by her parents before her own peace of mind, happiness, and well-being.

The family however called on Nigerians to help bring IVD to justice as he is currently on the run.

The statement is coming hours after IVD changed his display picture on his Instagram page, the car dealer appeared to be mourning his wife as he changed the photo to that of his wife and their children.

Also, Bimbo’s brother, Oyindamola Martins in an interview with Daddy Freeze revealed that she lit the fire herself and also poured kerosene on her body.

“She was liting up the whole house, then according to them. This was somebody that was madly in love with her husband and this is not the first time that her husband too has threatened himself If she does not come back, I think she probably expected him to say do am or no do am.”

“Then when she did it she now stopped for a while and she walked round the house, him he was not saying anything he was like if you wan die, d**. Then I think she light up the curtain and it was burning they were now dragging. She now jacked him like omo…you go give me this paper today, then him pushing her off his body got her into the curtain.”

Oyindamola also noted his late sister got burnt while her husband watched and did nothing. He took to his heels when they secured an hospital that agreed to treat her.
