The untimely death of Yul Edochie’s first son, Kambilichukwu Edochie, appears to be drawing more controversy than sympathy. The demise of the young boy has raised concerns among many people.
Many persons blame the actor over the death of his own. They attribute it to the ‘evils of ‘polygamy’.’
The circumstances surrounding the death of the boy further complicates the situation.
“He read all through the night in preparation for his exams. He wrote the exams and after that played football with his friends where he had a seizure leading to his demise.”
The above report by May Edochie’s sister who was at the scene of the incident shows that Kambilichukwu was perfectly fine.
Hence his mysterious death is one that many are trying to figure out.
In this part of the world, it doesn’t take long to attribute such cases to spirituality and that is exactly what is playing out in Yul’s case.
The difference is that, this time, it is alleged to be as a result of his polygamous marriage.
Polygamy
Yul Edochie in June 2022 announced his decision to take a second wife, Judy Austin Muoghalu.
Judy is an actress and a colleague of Yul.
The actor had kept his affair with her secret until the day of reckoning came. A popular blogger exposed them.
Following the revelation, Yul came public and accepted that he was having an extramarital affair.
Nigerians were surprised, but they were more surprised when he introduced his son, a product of his affair with Judy.
Yul received heavy backlash from his fans and followers of his first wife, May Edochie.
They said polygamy was not part of his marital vows during the first wedding.
The Consequences
Indeed, we know there are consequences for everything. But could the death of Yul’s 16-year old son be the consequence for his actions?
Many say Kambilichukwu’s demise is just the beginning of what is yet to come.
They say the curse of polygamy has started manifesting.
Others, however, sympathise and mourn the death of the young boy.
