EndSARS: Falz Gives Update On How The Presidency Is Trying To Meet Demands

Popular Nigerian singer Folarin Falana aka Falz the Bad Guy has no doubt been one of the celebrities lending his voice towards the ongoing EndSARS protest in the country.

The rapper took to his Instagram page via a short video to give an update to his fans and followers on the progress made so far concerning the people’s demand to the government. Falz hinted that the presidency has approved that a judicial panel of inquiry should be set up to look into all cases of Police brutality in all states in the country.

The singer spoke further that the panel created will listen to the complaints of victims of Police brutality who will share their stories and bring along evidences to back it up. After cross examining the evidences, any officer found guilty would be prosecuted by the attorney general of the state if it is a criminal offence.

According to Falz, when a police officer shoots at someone, it will be regarded as a murder, when they beat someone to stupor, it will be termed as torture and whenever they take people to the ATMs forcefully to withdraw cash at gun point, it would be treated as armed robbery.

Falz also noted that these offences are in the jurisdiction of state offences and the attorney general of the state can prosecute offenders noting that nobody should listen to their governors if they fail to prosecute anyone for such crimes.

He further advised youths in each state to choose a representative to be at the panel, to monitor things and also keep people informed.

In the caption of the post, Falz wrote:“Many people don’t understand the need for the state panels being set up.

I think it’s a step towards achieving number 2 & 3 on our #5for5 and towards getting Justice for everyone that has been wronged!”
