Davido has thrilled fans with the announcement of a forthcoming album.
In a recent interview with The Baller Alert, the global Afrobeats superstar shared insights about the highly anticipated project.
The album is set to drop in early 2025.
Davido also revealed details about an upcoming single entitled; Funds, which features Nigerian R&B sensation Chike and hip-hop star Odumodublvck.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Davido described it as a journey back to his Nigerian roots, with the goal of creating music that authentically represents his heritage.
“This one is categorically Nigerian,” he said
During the interview, Davido also discussed his recent birthday concert in Atlanta.
The concert was a star-studded event featuring performances from Odumodublvck, Musa Keys, Mayorkun, Darkoo, and The Composers.
Also, he highlighted the concert as part of his mission to showcase African music on a global stage.
“The concert was about more than just a celebration—it was an opportunity to export African music to the world while giving fast-rising talents a chance to shine,” Davido explained.
Additionally, he shared the backstory of his Grammy-nominated single Sensational, a collaboration with Chris Brown and Lojay.

Also, Davido revealed that he was working on two tracks with Chris Brown, but the American star was particularly invested in Sensational, believing in its potential to resonate globally.
