Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has expressed immense pride in maintaining his unique record as the only artist to dominate the top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for two consecutive days.
Also, this remarkable feat was achieved with his 2023 album, Timeless.
The album is a project that continues to stand tall amidst stiff competition in the Afrobeats scene.
Davido’s reaction came after the release of Wizkid’s new album, Morayo.
The album Morayo breaks several records on Spotify but it did not replicate Davido’s chart-topping dominance.
However, this achievement was highlighted by music-monitoring platform The Data Dash, which wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
“@davido remains the only artist to occupy the Top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for 2 consecutive days, with all new songs from his album Timeless.”
Reposting the message, Davido proudly wrote: “Remains the only!”.
Also, he solidified his confidence in the enduring impact of his groundbreaking album.
Timeless was Davido’s highly anticipated comeback album after a brief hiatus.
The 17-track project showcased his evolution as an artist, blending Afrobeats with elements of Amapiano, highlife, and pop.
