COVID-19: Nigeria records 3 new death, as toll hits 542

 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Saturday, confirms an additional 49 new cases of Coronavirus code-named COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the total cases in the country to 542.

The is coming even as the NCDC said that the country lost 3 persons to the virus the same day.

Of the total 542 cases currently registered, 166 cases had been treated and discharged with 19 deaths in the country.

It noted that the majority of the active cases were in a stable condition.

According to the agency, “Forty-nine new cases of #COVID19 have been reported; 23 in Lagos, 12 in FCT, 10 in Kano, in 2 in Ogun 1 in Oyo and 1 in Ekiti

“As at 10:40 pm 18th April, there are 542 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria, discharged, 166, and deaths 19.

“As at 10:40 pm 18th April, the number of states with confirmed cases of #COVID19: 19 including FCT.”

Cumulative breakdown by states, Lagos- 306, FCT- 81, Kano- 37, Osun- 20 Oyo- 16, Edo- 15, Ogun- 12, Kwara- 9, Katsina- 9, Bauchi- 6, Kaduna- 6, Akwa Ibom- 6, Delta- 4, Ekiti- 4, Ondo- 3, Enugu- 2, Rivers-2, Niger- 2,  Benue- 1, Anambra- 1.
