School Re-Opening: 18 schools shutdown for breaching closure order - Lagos Govt

The Ministry of Education, Lagos State, has sealed 18 schools for flouting the closure order made by the state government because of the outbreak of Coronavirus, (COVID-19) pandemic in the country.

The affected schools are privately run and spread across the six education districts in the state.

This was disclosed in Alausa, Ikeja on Wednesday by the Director General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Mrs Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, while briefing the press on the readiness of office for the reopening of secondary schools in the state.

The schools will reopen on Monday, August 3, this year for final year secondary school students to prepare to sit for their WASSCE to be conducted by the West African Examinations Council, WAEC.
