Even with lockdown directive by various states to contain the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed fresh cases in Anambra and Niger State.

The NCDC also confirmed that 58 patients have been discharged from various hospitals after testing negative twice to the virus.

Disclosing this development in a tweet, the NCDC stated that, “Seventeen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows eight in Lagos, three in Katsina, two in FCT, one in Niger, one in Kaduna, one in Anambra and one in Ondo

“As at 09:30 pm 10th April, there are 305 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 58 have been discharged with 7 deaths.

“As at 09:30 pm 10th April, there are 305 confirmed cases, 58 discharged and seven deaths.”

A breakdown shows that Lagos remains at the top of the log with 163 cases, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, 56, Osun 20, Edo 12, Oyo 11, Katsina-4, Bauchi 6, and Akwa Ibom- 5.

Others include Ogun 7, Kaduna 6, Enugu, Ekiti, Rivers, Kwara, Delta, Ondo have 2 cases respectively, while Benue, Niger and Anambra have one each.
