Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named midfielder, Nemanja Matic as his ‘man of the match’ following his side’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg 1-0 victory over Manchester City on Wednesday.
Solskjaer’s side defeated Man City at Etihad, thanks to Matic’s first-half strike.
Pep Guardiola’s men, however, progressed to the final of the competition with a 3-2 aggregate where they will play Aston Villa on March 1.
Asked which players impressed him the most, Solskjaer told United’s official website after the match: “David shows again why he’s the best ‘keeper in the world.
“I think the back-four with Harry [Maguire] and Victor [Lindelof] were excellent.
“Young Brandon [Williams] has been unbelievable again and Nemanja was a man of the match for me.”
Man United will now face Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.
