With the rising number of Covid-19 cases reported in the media by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, cum the banning of churches and social gathering for so long, the founder of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Sunday berated the federal government and church leaders, insisting that the guidelines and ban on churches were initiated to muzzle the body of Christ.
The outspoken pastor according to The Nation, described NCDC’s guidelines as wicked, condemning the actions of Church leaders.

He wondered why, church leaders would abide by the instructions of government on Covid-19, despite knowing the implication it will cause the church.
In his latest televised service, he stated it was odd that church leaders were afraid of the virus. Oyakhilome argued that one can’t believe in Jesus and be afraid of touching coronavirus patients and other virus.
