Following series of protest both in Nigeria and across other international countries, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has announced the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force.
Adams made the announcement at a press briefing on Sunday.

The dissolution of the notorious police unit followed days of protests by Nigerians and even foreigners. The unit was accused of harassing, brutalising, and even killing young Nigerians.
