The scandal began when Ola Olukoyede, Chairman of the EFCC, ordered an immediate investigation into bribery allegations.

This followed the release of a viral audio clip on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

The clip, shared by social activist Very Dark Man, features Bobrisky in a phone conversation.

In it, he claims to have paid N15 million to unnamed EFCC officials to have money laundering charges against him dropped.

The weight of these accusations seems to be taking a toll on Bobrisky’s mental health.

On Wednesday, September 26, 2024, he took to his Instagram page to open up about the emotional strain he’s been under.

In a raw and emotional post, Bobrisky confessed that thoughts of suicide had started creeping into his mind.

Bobrisky’s Post

Bobrisky shared, “I have never in my life thought about suicide, but now it’s coming to my head, seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow humans just because they want to bring them down by force or because they don’t like them.”

He made it clear that he wasn’t seeking sympathy, stating, “I don’t need no sympathy from anyone. People I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents.”

“But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters, you won.”

As the investigation continues, the emotional turmoil Bobrisky is facing has added a tragic personal layer to this already heated public scandal.
