France Football, the prestigious organization behind the Ballon d’Or awards, is introducing a new twist to this year’s ceremony.
The event is set to take place on October 28, 2024.
With anticipation building over who will claim the coveted prize, there’s already a buzz surrounding the potential winner.
Many football insiders and fans have tipped Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior as the frontrunner.
Also, it potentially edging out notable contenders like Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Rodri.
Vinicius had an exceptional season, playing a pivotal role in Real Madrid’s success in both LaLiga and the Champions League which has led to widespread speculation that he might be the one to lift the prestigious trophy.
However, this year’s Ballon d’Or will be different from previous editions.
According to Mario Cortegana, a correspondent for The Athletic, France Football is set to break with tradition by not conducting pre-award interviews with the eventual winner.
In past years, the winner would be interviewed by the organizers before the ceremony.
This subtly hints at their victory.
