Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has opened up on what the January transfer window holds for the Gunners as they build a title charge against Liverpool.
Arsenal are looking to fight for the Premier League title for the third year running after missing out during the last two seasons to a dominant Manchester City.
However, the Gunners are in an uphill battle against Liverpool, who sit six points clear of the Gunners at the top of the table with a game in hand.
Arsenal have had trouble in attack this season with Bukayo Saka being the most consistent performer in Arteta’s side with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling struggling to impress on a regular basis.
However, Saka is now facing months on the sidelines due to injury, leading Arteta to ponder dipping into the transfer market in January.
Speaking to the media, Arteta said: “Let’s see. If there’s an opportunity we will look at it.
“Let’s see how we get there.
“Hopefully, the squad is going to be in a much healthier position than it is right now, but who knows?
“We are prepared if we need to do something, we’re capable of doing something, but then that transfer window is very tricky and difficult to control.
“The opportunities are very limited but we’ll be there.”
