At just 39 years old, the Portuguese tactician arrives with a reputation for promoting young talent, a trait reminiscent of the club’s storied past.

From Alf Albut to Sir Matt Busby, United’s history is steeped in examples of ambitious, youthful managers leading teams brimming with energy and potential.

Busby, who was just 36 when he first took charge of United, built the legendary “Busby Babes,” a team that revolutionized football with its bold, attacking philosophy driven by youthful exuberance.

The likes of Mainoo, Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund symbolize the exciting potential within United’s ranks under Amorim.

However, despite their inexperience, the manager refuses to let their age define them, and instead urged them to embrace the responsibility of wearing the iconic red shirt.

In an interview with MUTV, Amorim said: “I don’t want to say that we need time because we are a young team.

“They are prepared.

“They are prepared to cope with the demands of playing for Manchester United.

“Also, They should be because they are. They are here.

“We know it will take time and we will try to win time with the games.

“But we have to start since day one without fear, without thinking that they are not used to playing like this.

“This is not on my mind.

“They will start on the first day with our idea, no matter what. That’s the goal.”

However, with youth, ambition, and a fearless mentality at the core of his strategy, Amorim’s journey will be one to watch as he aims to revive a struggling giant and build a foundation for future triumphs.

His era officially begins on November 24 when United face Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
