Alejandro Garnacho admits that even he was left stunned by his outrageous overhead kick goal for Manchester United in their 3-0 win at Everton.
The Argentina international winger got the Red Devils off to a dream start at Goodison Park.
However, his acrobatic goal of the season contender broke the deadlock inside three minutes.
Garnacho’s stunning strike conjured up memories of similar efforts from Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
However, the 19-year-old surprised himself with an effort that sits at the very top of his personal showreel.
Garnacho told Sky Sports when asked to explain his emotions after picking out the top corner with a remarkable bicycle kick: “I can’t believe it to be honest.
“I didn’t see how it went in. I just listened around and said: ‘oh my God.’
“For me, one of the best goals I have ever scored.
“Yes, probably (one of the goals of the season) but is only November.”
United captain Bruno Fernandes was among those left in awe of Garnacho’s spectacular strike, with the Portuguese playmaker saying of the effort that rocked protesting home supporters on Merseyside:
“A goal like this has to silence the crowd.
“Everton fans were of course not really happy about it but I think they would enjoy seeing this kind of goal.
