The Nigerian government has approved Air Peace Limited, Fly-Nas, Max Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Limited as official carriers for the 2025 Hajj.
The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Abdullahi Saleh Usman, announced that officials selected the airlines from 11 applicants after a rigorous screening process.
A 32-member committee, inaugurated on November 26, 2024, conducted the evaluation.
It included representatives from State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and key aviation and government agencies such as FAAN, NAMA, NIMET, and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

Experts from NAHCON’s internal departments also participated to ensure transparency.
Additionally, three cargo carriers—Aglow Aviation Support Services Limited, Cargozeal Technology Limited, and Qualla Investment Limited—were approved to handle excess baggage.
Usman congratulated the selected companies, urging them to deliver on their promises, noting the sacred responsibility they bear.
In another significant development, Usman signed the 2025 Hajj Memorandum of Understanding with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on January 12, 2025, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
This formalised Nigeria’s participation in the pilgrimage.
He was accompanied by high-ranking officials, including representatives from Nigeria’s Senate, House of Representatives, and Foreign Affairs Ministry.
The agreement with Saudi Arabia, represented by Deputy Minister Abdulfatah Masahat, marks a key milestone in ensuring a seamless and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage for Nigerian Muslims in 2025.
