Residents of communities in Katsina State that terrorists ravaged recently, have received succour from Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It is something you could describe as a stich in time for families of the vigilantes who were killed in the Bakori Local Government area of the state.
The aid, which is in millions, is coming from the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The ₦100 million donation to families of victims of the Katsina terror attack, is coming at a time Nigerians are jostling for naira notes.
Joy came to the residents of the communities at the campaign of the ruling political party on Monday.
That rally was lead by President Muhammadu Buhari and Tinubu.
Speaking at the rally, state Governor Aminu Bello Masari while calling for prayers for the deceased, thanked Tinubu for the donation.
The killing of vigilantes in the state occurred as a result of a clash between the local security operatives and terrorists in which over 100 persons were reportedly killed.
Residents of the community said over 60 persons were buried on Friday and over 30 corpses were brought in on Saturday.
According to them, more are expected to be brought in.

Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Muntari Lawal, while leading a delegation to commiserate with families of the deceased said the number of deaths could not be ascertained at the moment.
“The actual number of those killed cannot be ascertained because the dead are still being counted. Nobody can tell you the accurate figure because some of the bodies are scattered in the bush; people have to go and retrieve them,” Lawal said.
₦100 Million When Naira Is Scare
The donation made by Tinubu is a huge sum considering that the country is currently facing a shortage of Naira notes following the recent redesign.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) recently redesigned the Naira notes and with the deadline for the expiration of the old notes, banking halls, and ATM queues have seen more people struggling to get money to spend.

Some states in the federation that share borders with other African countries have reportedly resorted to using the currency of the other countries pending the time the scarcity ends.
However, amidst this scarcity, the APC presidential candidate made such a huge donation even as the CBN limits over-the-counter withdrawal to ₦20,000 per person.
While it was not revealed if the donation was done via cash or transfer, either way, the donation has still raised questions.
According to reports, commercial banks are selling the redesigned notes to POS operators, Political parties, and money racketeers.
The CBN noted that the redesign was done to prevent vote buying by persons hoarding the old Naira notes, among many other reasons.
Cost Of Transfer
Nigerians have started to question how one person has access to that amount of money when many Nigerians are unable to even get the ₦20,000 maximum given by the CBN.
If the donation was done via online transfer platforms, with the current CBN limit of ₦500,000 on cash transfers, Tinubu may be losing more than the ₦100 million.
The CBN transfer policy places a three percent sanction for going over the ₦500,000 limit for individuals, meaning the candidate would be paying ₦3 million to make the donation.
