4 Students Of Kogi Polytechnic Kidnapped

Four students of the Kogi State Polytechnic have reportedly been kidnapped by suspected gunmen in Ondo State.

The students were said to have been returning home for the Yuletide season but they were waylaid on the Akunnu-Ajowa road in the Akoko area of Ondo.

The Akunnu-Ajowa road is notorious for criminal activities by armed bandits and kidnapping in the state.

Funmilayo Omisanya, the Ondo police spokesperson, could not be immediately reached for comments but the Assistant Commissioner of Police in Ondo, Muri Agboola, confirmed the kidnap case.

“The operation is an ongoing effort with other security agents and I can assure you that they will be rescued,” the ACP said.
