Tinubu Is Not An Indigene Of Lagos — Bode George

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George has said that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is not an indigene of Lagos like he claims.

The chieftain said this while discussing the internal crisis of the PDP and Tinubu’s candidacy on Arise Tv, on Tuesday.

George said the presidential Tinubu is yet to prove that he is an indigene of Lagos and he has not produced any evidence to support it either.

He said he grew up playing football in Isale-Eko and he was well known, asking Tinubu to prove that he grew up and schooled in Lagos.

“Tinubu is not from Lagos State. You can quote me. If he says he grew up in Isale-Eko, which school did you attend? I grew up on Evans Street in Lagos. 35 Evans Street was my grandfather’s house. I went to the community school. I played football at the local stadium at Isale-Eko. That’s how people knew me,” he said.

When asked if the PDP would resolve its internal crisis before the elections next year, the chieftain said that can only happen if the party’s heads “give what belongs to Caesar what belongs Caesar”.

“It is not a solution that cannot be handled. All we are saying is that give what belongs to Caesar. Give us what belongs to us. Turn by Turn Nigeria Limited.”

George believes that it is time for the party to weave all the tribes and all the people together.
