Babcock University, located in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, has graduated 3,568 students at its 23rd convocation ceremony. Among them, 243 students earned First-Class degrees.

Out of the total number, 2,543 received undergraduate degrees while 686 completed postgraduate programmes.
These include 217 PhDs, 30 MPhil degrees, 359 Master’s degrees, and 80 Postgraduate Diplomas.
Lawal Oyiza, who studied Economics, emerged as the overall best graduating student with a CGPA of 4.97.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ademola Tayo, encouraged the graduates to use their education to impact society and uphold justice.
He also highlighted the school’s progress over the last decade, including infrastructure development and the introduction of new programmes in Engineering and Environmental Sciences.
Guest speaker Dr. Kudakwashe Tagwirei, a diplomat from Zimbabwe, told the graduates that convocation marks the beginning of greater responsibility.
He urged them to use their knowledge to solve real-world problems and help build a better Africa.
