The Lagos State Police Command has officially cleared the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin.
He is cleared of any wrongdoing after a viral video surfaced showing him holding what many assumed to be a firearm.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that Pastor Paul Adefarasin voluntarily honoured an invitation to the state headquarters in Ikeja, where he was questioned over the incident.

Investigations revealed that the item seen in the viral footage was a stun gun
This is a non-lethal self-defence device rather than a firearm.
“Following thorough investigation, including interrogation and the pastor’s cautionary statement, it was established that the object in question was a stun gun, not a firearm. Consequently, the Lagos State Police Command has no reason to pursue the matter further. The case is considered closed,” the statement read.
The police further reassured the public of their commitment to transparency, rule of law, and public safety.
