Global peace foundation (gpf) in collaboration with justice development and peace caritas (jdpc), kaduna archdiocese has conducted a one day round table meeting with the stakeholders in kaduna, to look for a lasting solution to some of the lingering issues of segregation, division among people living in abakpa local community in kaduna state.
Peace building and conflict resolution initiative seeks to mitigate sectarian violence by changing attitudes and behaviors that drive identity-based conflicts by promoting and sustaining social cohesion among various ethnic, tribal and faith groups in building peaceful coexistence and trust in all the communities in the state and all region across the country.
Speaking at the event the in kaduna, the country coordinator rev. Dr. Joseph hayap says the meeting is aim at fostering unity and dispelling fears among christians and muslims as well as breaking down walls of hates and mistrust among the local populace community to continue in restoring, promote and sustain peace in abakpa community and the state.
