Veteran comic actor, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, has debunked rumours of his death.
In the early hours of Friday, the rumour mill was awash with his death reports on social media, with many close associates attempting to reach him for confirmation.
In an exclusive chat with The Guardian, Baba Suwe said, ”Anybody that wants me dead should be ahead of me and wait for me in heaven.
”It is very disturbing that people could wake up spreading false news about you, especially sensitive and wicked news at that. I am alive, I am well, I will be fine, I am not dead.
”I don’t think a dead man could be talking to you as I am right now.”

A Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi also dispelled the rumours of the death of the actor.
“I want to use this medium to dispel the rumour circulating. It is pretty unfortunate that I have to still come out and do this again. I don’t really understand what perpetrators of such falsehood on social media gain by doing that,” he said.
“It is not right, knowing fully well the status of the person in question. Please desist from doing such. Baba Suwe is alive, hale and hearty. Please stop doing this nonsense. I just spoke with him less than two minutes ago, and he is doing fine. He asked me to pray for you and to stop such act.”
