A$AP Rocky’s accuser, A$AP Relli, is moving forward with his civil lawsuit against the rapper, Relli’s lawyer confirmed in a court hearing that they will proceed with the suit, which was filed in August 2022.
The lawsuit alleges assault and battery stemming from a November 2021 incident. Although the criminal trial resulted in Rocky’s acquittal, Relli’s lawyer argues that the standard for a civil case is lower, and they believe their claims have merit.
Rocky’s lawyer, James Sargent, disagrees, stating that the outcome of the criminal trial “speaks volumes” about the value of Relli’s testimonial evidence.
Sargent also confirmed that they will not settle with Relli and look forward to “full vindication.”
The next hearing in the matter is set for May 28, with a trial date scheduled for January 12, 2026.
