Tolani Shobajo, better known as Tolanibaj, has shared one of her life’s best decisions: moving to Nigeria from the United States.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 20, 1993, and, like many people, had dreams that took her far from home.
But life took a turn when Tolanibaj decided to leave the familiar comforts of the United States and start fresh in Nigeria.
At the time, it didn’t fully make sense to her. The thought of moving felt uncertain, but something inside her told her it was the right thing to do. So, she took the leap, not knowing what the future would hold.
Six years later, Tolanibaj is filled with gratitude as she looks back on her journey. “Honestly, one of the best choices I ever made in life was relocating to Nigeria,” she wrote on her X handle.
“I’m grateful to God for the timing of my move. It didn’t make complete sense then, but it felt right, and I took the risk. It’s been six interesting years, and I couldn’t be happier.”
Tolanibaj’s big move led her to fame after joining the Big Brother Naija reality show in 2020. And today, looking back on the six years she’s spent in Nigeria, she knows she made the right decision.
