Naira Marley’s Song: Ayraa Star Faces Heat From Angry Nigerians

“I’m Baccckkkkk!…”, this is the lyrics of Naira Marley’s latest single which Popular Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr shared a video of her dancing to online.

However, the female singer received and is still receiving a backlash for promoting his song publicly.

According to netizens, not streaming or promoting Naira Marley’s songs is a way of seeking justice for late Mohbad who was formerly signed to his music label.

Late musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad died in 2023.

However, the circumstances surrounding his death is still a topic of controversy and the cause of his death remains unknown till date.

Although, investigations are still ongoing but since the inception of the case, accusing fingers have been pointed at Naira Marley and Zinoleesky of the Marlian music label spanning from videos of abuse and bully which circulated online after Mohbad’s demise.

As a result, netizens resorted to not streaming Marlian music as one of the means of seeking justice for Mohbad till the cause of his death is unearthed.

Fast forward to 2025, Naira Marley released a single titled, “Idi”, and many Nigerians seem to have “forgotten” the past and are seriously vibing to the song.

Ayra Starr happened to be one of those who shared a video dancing to the song and unrepentant fans of Mohbad came strongly at her expressing their disappointment and anger towards her for promoting her colleague, Naira Marley.

However, the singer later deleted the video but the internet they say.., “never forgets.”
