Tottenham Hotspur’s woes continued as they suffered their fourth consecutive Premier League defeat at the hands of Leicester City. The Foxes staged a remarkable comeback to climb out of the relegation zone.
The match began with Tottenham taking the lead in the first half through a header from Brazil striker Richarlison. The goal was set up by a brilliant cross from defender Pedro Porro, giving Spurs a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
However, Leicester City turned the game around with two goals in four minutes after the break. Jamie Vardy equalized just a minute into the second half, capitalizing on a mistake by Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.
The Foxes took the lead four minutes later through a stunning strike from midfielder Bilal El Khannouss. His curled effort from 25 yards found the bottom corner, giving Leicester a 2-1 advantage.
Despite a late push, Tottenham was unable to find an equalizer, and the loss leaves them in 15th place in the Premier League, with just one win in their past 11 matches.
Leicester City’s victory, on the other hand, lifts them into 17th place, one point above Wolves, who drop into the relegation zone.
