Owning a landed property in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is not an issue, but what will you do when Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, comes for that land?
You see, VeryDarkMan may have won several battles of this nature, but when it came to Wike’s demolition case, even with a protest backed by other activists, nothing much was achieved.
It got to a point where Senators intervened in the matter.
But trust Wike, he told the Senators that demolition will continue and heavens will not fall.
Owning a land in Abuja at this moment means you have all the needed documents and meet all required demands. Anything short of that, may loose that property to Wike.
If you see the long list of people who have lost their lands, then you would understand that Wike is not here to joke.

As we speak, the Minister has published a list of names showing those that have had their land revoked.
However, among those affected include Bayelsa State Governor Senator Diri Douye, Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, and the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu.
These individuals are part of the 568 landowners in Maitama II, Cadastral Zone A10, Abuja, whose allocations were withdrawn.
