Nollywood producer and director, Shina Sanyaolu, a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, has passed away.
His death was confirmed by Bolaji Amusan, the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
He made the announcement in an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday.
Sharing a picture of the late filmmaker, Amusan wrote: “Sleep well Uncle Shina Sanyaolu”.

Shina Sanyaolu was highly respected in the Yoruba movie sector.
