On Sunday, Rema’s donated to the Edo Regional Headquarters of Christ Embassy.

The global music sensation, who attended a thanksgiving service at the church, reflected on how the church stood by his family after the tragic loss of his father when he was just eight years old.

He stated: “I am not here to seek any accolades or glory for myself, but to give all the glory to God”.

Rema further explained that it was important for him to give back to the church that had embraced his family, prayed for them, and helped him maintain his spiritual journey.

When I lost my dad at eight years old, we felt lost and abandoned. Everything we had was taken from us, and we felt alone.

“But I remember how Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas, the pastors of this church, opened a shop for my mom, which she used to provide for us and keep us going,” he shared.

In appreciation of the church’s support, Rema announced his donation of  ₦105 million.

He allocated  ₦40 million for the church’s infrastructural development,  ₦20 million for the Rhapsody of Realities publication, and ₦25 million to the teen church, from which he emerged.

Additionally, Rema pledged  ₦20 million to assist any widows present at the church service.
