The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, in partnership with music publishing and talent management company Primary Wave, will host its third annual gala on Friday, August 9, 2024.
The event will take place at the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta, coinciding with what would have been Whitney Houston’s 61st birthday.
Grammy-winning artist Yolanda Adams will headline the gala which will also feature a special performance from the late singer’s brother and longtime duet partner, Gary Houston.
Additional performers include Gregory Sams and Denisia Denisa, recent winners of The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation’s cover song competition.
The event will be hosted by Kevin Frazier and Whitney’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, who is also the president of the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation.
The fundraiser will include a silent and online auction, with scholarships to be presented to students studying the arts at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
