This comes after his fake certificate was exposed, and he was detained.
The chef had earlier hosted a press conference at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, showcasing a counterfeit certificate claiming a record for an 820-hour cook-a-thon.
However, Guinness World Record confirmed the certificate’s invalidity, stating they had not recognized him as a record holder.
In a statement to BBC, Alina Polianskaya, PR Executive for GWR, declared, “He does not hold the GWR title, and that is not our certificate.”
As a result of this incident, Guinness World Record has cancelled the cookathon category altogether, citing integrity concerns.
