Did you see the recent protest in Kenya that left the entire country on total shutdown?

That is the kind of protest many Nigerians are looking forward to replicate all in an attempt to say “enough is enough”.

Indeed, one cannot entirely blame these Nigerians, because over time, protest have proven to be the only language the government understands.

The Protest

During this time, the government becomes proactive in seeking means to end the protest.

Nigerians seem to have endured enough, with the government looking away from their numerous cries and pleas.

The call for a mass protests has taken over the social media space with thousands, if not millions, of Nigerians eager to hit the street.

Many others have backed their stand with a bible verse that says; “the kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force”.

This piece of the holy book has left nothing but confidence in the heart of these persons. According to them, even God is in support of their fight, as it is one of liberation.

EndSARS Protest

With the level of hunger and suffering Nigerians have been through in the last months, one will not be wrong to say that the #EndSARS protest was just a tip of what is to come.

If things turn out this way, then it is important that we prepare ourselves.

If the EndSARS outing, with all that came with it is said to be the beginning, then only God knows what awaits us.

If you are yet to stock up your foodstuffs, now may be just the perfect time.

Parents may also need to signal some warnings to their children.

Be Prepared

While engaging in protest is for the common good of the citizens, it also embodies high risks and danger.

During times like this, many businesses, well-known establishments, and government infrastructures are always affected.

Since no one knows which one it will be, it is advisable to be prepared.

Withdraw enough cash, stock up on petrol, and most importantly, be security conscious. You see many touts often seize this time to carry out other criminal activities.

While no date has been announced for this great protest, a peaceful nationwide march against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), will hold on July 5, 2024

This planned protest is set to hold in all the 36 states of the federation.
