All is not well in the university, in fact, as we speak, many families have lost their children and loved ones who were sent there to study.
A video currently circulating on social media captures the moment gunmen invaded the Plateau State University in the Bokkos Local Government Area of the State.
Many people were feared dead as students are seen fleeing for their lives in the video shared on X on Friday, April 19.
Security Situation
The University Management confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday, April 19.
According to the school authorities, the ongoing exams in the institution have been placed on hold.
They also stated that the institution would be shut for ten days to allow the security situation improve.
You see, it is very sad to see terrorists attack gradually becoming a norms in Nigeria.
Day in, day out, reports of terrorists attacking one location or the other continues to spread.
Even places Nigerians thought to be safe are no longer immune to this attacks.
Nigerians Fear For Their Safety
Just recently, about 100 gunmen stormed Ojo community in Lagos State.
That day, about fifteen houses and a day-old baby were burnt beyond recognition.
The wave of terrorism even got to Abuja, the country’s capital, leaving residents of the once peaceful city in fear for months.
The fresh attack on Plateau State University has raised concerns and also many questions.

How did the gunmen enter the school premises without being spotted by the school’s security?
