Croatian international, Luka Modric, has extended his contract with Real Madrid through the summer of 2024, the Spanish club has announced.
Real Madrid and Modric have agreed to terms of a contract extension that would keep the Croatian player with the club through June 2024.
The experienced Toni Kroos and the Croatian international have both committed to Real Madrid for an additional year.
When Madrid acquired Modric from Tottenham in 2012, he went on to win almost 20 trophies at the Santiago Bernabeu, including five Champions League titles.
Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia had targeted Modric, but he chose to stay in the capital of Spain.
Modric has reacted to the announcement with a brief post on social media. “Home Sweet Home,” he wrote on Twitter.

There will be fierce competition for places in Madrid’s midfield next season.
Modric and Kroos have both confirmed they will stay at the club and have been joined by Jude Bellingham.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti also has Aurélien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde to call upon.
