President Bola Tinubu is gradually gathering his cabinet members.
On Wednesday, June 7, the President swore in Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The former Governor of Benue State was sworn in at the council chamber.
That is where he took his Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office in the presence of some dignitaries, including some serving and former Governors.

Also at the swearing-in event were Vice President, Kashim Shettima, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State.

Others present at the swearing-in of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation were Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr FolasadeYemi-Esan and the wife of the new SGF, Mrs Regina Akume, among others.
