Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been linked with the soon-to-be vacant seat at Bayern Munich but has turned down chances of taking over.
Bayern Munich announced earlier this year that boss Thomas Tuchel would be parting ways with the Bavarians this summer and the club have been hard at work as they look for a replacement.
Zidane has been linked with the free seat with the Bavarians, however, the legendary French midfielder has now clearly turned down the job publically.
The Frenchman visited the F1 Grand Prix in Miami and was questioned by Sky Sports Germany [via @Plettigoal on X]:
“Who will win between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich this weekend?
“Hopefully Madrid. But it’s going to be a difficult game.
“Will I be Bayern Munich coach in the future?
“No. I’m going to watch the game.”
The turndown by Zidane will be yet another dagger in the chest for the Bavarians with the likes of Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick having already turned down the job.
Bayern have also been reported to be thinking about making a U-turn on the Tuchel situation, however, they have outright denied the same.

However, while the leadership of the club will be hard at work as they look for a fitting replacement for Tuchel, the German coach will be preparing his side for their second-leg clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday, May 8 as they look to make it to the Champions League final at Wembley.
